| Winner of the Scrapfriends.com contest sponsored by
Craf-T Products which ran the month of May. Was BrendaLea Abbott. She
writes. I took an older Scrapbook that was an odd size and cut it down
to fit the modern 8-1/2 x 11" scrapbook pages. In doing so, I re-covered
the entire SB with two Kraft Book Covers. I then rubber stamped and all
over design of two different leaves using 3 different colors of ink
cubes. Then I decoupauged the vintage newspaper and the mulberry paper
on top. I rubber stamped the various images and the tag. Tied three
kinds of fibers to the tag. Using the Craf-T Chalk I distressed and aged
the images and the quote that is stamped onto tissue paper. Two of the
fibers were very shiny and the off-white one was too stark, So I used
the Craf-T Metallic Rub-On to give it a shine and tone down the color.
Because I stamped the postage cancellation stamp and the quote using
copper ink, I used the Metallic Rub-On Walnut (set #3) around the
outside edge of the newspaper, so that it would also have a bit of shine
to it. The watch face was encircled using Sparkle Gel, and the inside
was covered with Diamond Glaze. Then all images and the tag were
decoupauged onto the cover. Congratulation BrendaLea you did a
wonderful job!
